After much prayer and discussion, my wonderful hubby and I came up with the following goals for 2009:
1.Pay off all debt, except for house. This is going to free us from a van debt, medical bills, and student loans. Currently, we have almost $8,000 in debt, but we have a planned snowball to get this taken care of.
2.Put $2400 in savings. We have been working toward this, but decided to put most of our savings toward our debt. So, our emergency fund needs to be rebuilt.
3.Open Christmas Club account for Christmas money. This would be in addition to our savings and debt snowball, and our goal is a minimum of $40 monthly.
4.Plant bigger garden to be able to save/can more food.We are planning on having
We are hoping that by this time next year, that we will be able to grow and save close to 75% of our own food, especially when you take into account the next goal.
5.Get, raise and keep 15 chickens for eggs and meat.Lofty, I know, but we live in a small, unincorporated town that we are able to do this.
