Now, we also had to tear out our bedroom window. That is the reason that we haven't framed the kitchen window on the inside. (all that's left is to make it "pretty"). This one has been the most challenging for us so far. Can you see why?
The beginnings of tearing out the old frame...
Solid oak logs made this house what it was, is, and is to come...
We found square nails here...
There was no insulation between the window and the outside...no wonder we were sooo cold!
We had to "chink" the logs by hand...we went through 3 reciprocating saw blades with this!
We had to give up for a day, since we worked on this part for nearly 12 hours! We will finish it up this weekend, and I will post the final pictures then! Keep tuned!
